Bear! So happy to hear the state fair went well! Always smart to attract with food;
works every time. ;) Way to know your state inside and out! Nice job playing
big in Bantam; you can always dominate no matter your size; just play bigger,
which you did. The offense will come with practice (nice job on the layups. My
biggest weakness, but your defense and rebounds will maintain you as a great
player and an invaluable asset to your team. Cool experience with the girl in
your class; so happy to see that you are a light to your peers! Keep it up! :)

Callerist! I`m sorry you all got sick; I hope you all get better! And I hope
you enjoy all the snow and cold weather back home for Christmas! In Uruguay,
the seasons are backwards: December and January are summer and June & July
are winter. So I will be sweating like crazy during Christmas; it will be HOT!
Also, there is never snow here all year round, even in winter. Ever! So enjoy
it, because I miss it so much! I love you!

Pap! Good luck with tithing settlements; always a beast! I`d love to hear any advice
as seems opportune from time to time concerning the mish as I cease to become
an Oro. I pray for you and the family very often and wish you all the richest

Well, with summer coming and the heat rising, the cockroaches have come
out to play much more often! So we have been much more on our toes
and have been employing means to keep them in check! The videos will explain
the steps we have taken, but this small battle has emerged into a full war: the
Elders of Chuy vs. Las Cucarachas de la casa amarilla de Leonardo Olivera! But
I know we will win.

We have had some investigators stay true so far like Catia, some fall off like
Fernanda, and we have had some nuevos as well like Alida and her family, so an
eventful week for sure! As we continue to find, teach, strengthen, and work
towards baptism, the Lord truly guides us in the right direction. We also had a
conference with President Eddy about the importance of baptism and making that
clear to our investigators early on. Truly needed, and I am striving to apply
those counsels! Also with cambios this week, we will be losing some great Elders
but also gaining some new young guns to fill their shoes! Exciting things
ahead!

Mom’s Questions:



1. Were you able to listen to your Thanksgiving Day voice recordings? 


YES; AND I LOVED THEM! Thank you soo much; made my day! I also have responses ready


2. Have you received any other packages or physical mail? I know that your

grandparents sent you a birthday package and wondering if you received it.
Also, some of your Spuds said they sent you some physical letters and I
wondered if you received them. I sent off a Christmas envelope with the Spanish
and English conference edition Ensigns, some Christmas cards and some Christmas
talks. Hopefully you will get them before Christmas.


Have not received these yet; however, there´s still 3 weeks, so I`m not worried yet




3. Will you be having a Tuesday p-day again next week because of transfers? Any
word on transfer news? Do you still think Elder Anderson will be leaving even
though Elder Poulson is already leaving to come home?  




All the transfer news are in! Elder Anderson is going to Maroñas (area in
Montevideo) and Elder Saeteros and I are staying! More details in audio. 


4. How are your nuevos coming along? Did they come to church? And do you still

have a baptismal date for the one hermana? 


They're coming slowly, but they`re coming. Still need to get them to church; we've been
empty in that regard. Trying to figure something out. Yes, Catia still has a
date, but since she hasn't come to church, her date's been pushed back to the
31st.




5. Have you done anything to get in the Christmas spirit? Do Uruguayans do
Christmas trees? What other Christmas traditions do they have? What activities
have you and the other Elders been doing for Light the World? 


I've bought a Santa hat and am planning on getting presents for the Chuy Elders. Also been
listening to Christmas music and Christmas talks, Yes, they do Christmas trees;
their Christmas is a lot like ours, just not as largely celebrated. For Light
The World, we have done some service as well as hand out the Christmas cards
and have a stand on the plaza to try and get attention for the campaign.
